Ruger2012 wrote: Hi I started a pip claim and because I worked in the republic of Ireland although I live in northern Ireland they had to send me out a form about taxes before they can send a claim out but most of the questions were not applicable to me for e.g when did I move to the UK, I have lived there since birth so the fact that I worked in the republic can that mean I wouldn't be eligible to claim pip
There is a residency test for PIP, paying National Insurance in the UK may be a quick way of determining whether a claimant passes the test, but conversely I don't think that not paying NI in the UK means that the claimant was not resident, but the PIP Regulations do not give a definitive definition of what "resident" means so there may be other legislation involved.

I am currently under a neurologist for symptoms I have had for around six years although I am undiagnosed with a condition yet I have had mobility issues for months such as very poor balance I know pip is supposed to be more about how things affect you and not the condition itself in reality do you think it's possible to have a successful claim without a formal diagnosis

Not having a diagnosis will definitely make it more difficult but not impossible, you will just have to explain your limitations in more detail, so you mention problems with balance, how does this affect you? When does this affect? What results from the problem, do you fall? Are there other symptoms and if there are, how do they manifest themselves?
Make sure you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against, see our PIP Claim guide
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip
You must be able to perform each activity "reliably" and on the "majority of days", these terms are explained in the guide.
If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

I checked on line for info but it just says you need to have a connection to the UK social security to claim it does not state the criteria I have checked my national insurance history in the UK and I have 4 full years paid do you think that would be enough to allow me to claim

I'm afraid this is outside the area that we advise on. Have a look at the following
