mandatory reconsideration turned down was created by lynne phillips
Hi I followed the format to the letter to address the mandatory reconsideration process and I still got turned down. I could not of made it any clearer and I still think I need to receive the claim. The mobility part was assessed and awarded on the same level, Standard, but they stopped the daily living component only scoring 2
My condition has got worse and I do need help on a daily basis.
I do work but it is a sitting job and I get regular holidays to recover as I work in a school. If I could afford to, I would give up work as the pain I have is unbearable some days but I can not as I have a mortgage.
I am now going to appeal but don’t know what to do to convince the people. I have , arthritis, heart complaint fibromyalgia. My mobility is chronic, having to use frames to walk, I don’t go far its impossible to be mobile.
Please can some one shed some light? I live on my own and I’m struggling more and more

It's important to understand that very few MRs result in a revision of the Decision, the DWP claim 20%, we don't see anything near this on the forum, the important thing is that this usually does not reflect on what will happen if you go on to appeal.
The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.
Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.
If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
