Esa was created by Raquel
Hi, I sent my esa50 form off 2day. Special delivery. Got supporting evidence fr doc n family. Doc wrote a good report askin that I b assessed by the information that is sent. Stating that I am in suppor group. When the envelope does arrive, if I'm assessed on paper wil I b expecting a brown envelope fr wdp? Or if it's fr atos wil I b expecting white? Fingers x it's the brown 1!

It's not ATOS that do the ESA assessments it;s a company called Maximus, aka CHDA (Centre for Health and Disability Assessment), aka HAAS.
The process for ESA is poorly defined, you might receive a letter from Maximus saying that no face to face assessment is required (white envelope), or the first you might hear is a brown envelope from the DWP saying that they have all the information that they require to make a Decision, or they could go straight to a Decision Letter.

Mine went straight to decision letter, about 12 weeks after I returned it.

I rang Maximus as I wanted to know what was happening and a very nice lady told me they had sent the paperwork back 3 days after they got it and that I should have heard something. She told me to ring DWP and find out, so I did and they told me I was staying in the support group.
I got a letter at the end of April a month after I had sent in my ESA50 but I thought it was the upgrade letter as it was very quick! My WO rang and got another copy for me!
Good luck.
