Case manager was created by Min
Good morning I requested an MD a couple of weeks ago as I was on enhanced rate for both daily living and mobility but now have been dropped to standard for both.
My original pip was due to expire March 2018 but I have now been told my new claim will start from end of Jan 2018. I couldn't understand why I had lost 2 months ? but also in the letter it said my new standard rate will start APril 2018?
I was confused so rang DWP they were also confused and put me through to someone else who began to explain that a new letter would need to be sent out to me as the case manager had made a mistake and my claim starts from whenever it was renewed so therefore Jan 2018 on standard rate for both.
She then began to talk about the assessment I asked her her job role within the dip and she said case manager she said they are aware of the mandatory consideration and it could take up to 8 weeks for a answer? But why do you think they have transferred me to a case manager could this be the new case manager reviewing my claim whom I was talking to as I could hear her typing up when I was discussing my concerns within the original home assessment report which the assessor failed to document and she went into a little detail with regards to my illness and as I work I explained the assessor used this throughout my report. I have arthritis and diagnosed with fibro in 2015 and severe anxiety. I take numerous medications mainly morphine the assessor stated in the report I am on 3rd line medication and no specialist input? Really I attend my doctors every 4 weeks fir review and the doctor sends all my prescriptions over to the chemist? I explained this to her she seem to agree as to why this was documented any advice pls as this happened to anyone? Thankyou

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Decisions apply from the date that they are made unless there are compelling reasons to use another date, but this would be unusual.
A Case Manager is a Decision Maker by another name., your MR should be looked at by a Decision Maker, a more senior grade in the DWP.
If you have submitted your MR then there is little that you can do but wait to see if the current Decision is Revised.
