Mickey Mouse wrote: Hi Gordon. Thank You very much. Spoken to my GP. He’s writing to ask for Home visit or paper assessment. Still trying to contact my psychiatrist. Is there any way I can check if DWP sent all my supporting evidence to CAPITA. I’m very surprised if based on that why I’ve been called in. I’m so worried about the effect on my mental state I’m seriously considering withdrawing my claim,

Is F2F for ESA or PIP? Thought Capita only do ESA but I may be wrong. I have severe mental distress too: I've managed to hang on with benefits torture for 4 years now thanks to my GP & Gordon. (He's right to prioritise those poor souls battling DWP now).
Even a home visit is likely to be severely triggering as the assessor (unlikely to have ANY mental health training) may ask about suicide attempts & self harm!! Does your GP & psychiatrist know this? Why are CMHT not helping you with the form?i A copy of your care plan would help.
Its likely DWP hasn't even done a pre-board check before sending your file to Capita: the assessor WON'T have read it before calling you to a F2F. If its PIP your file should have been flagged up on the system as Vulnerable & requiring additional support to COMPLY! Its nothing to do with you personally its a corrupt system not fir for purpose.
So step by step: need strongly worded letter from GP showing substantial risk of suicide if called to F2F. Dates will help & suicide risk assessments from notes if you can get them. All very triggering.
If the useless cretins come back with home visit, psychiatrist fax/ phones Capita about risk of violence to yourself & assessor.
Then enquiry about what additional evidence they need to make decision? Have they sent form to GP/psychiatrist (they usually dont bother).
If it is for ESA they will have enough evidence from above for exemption due to substantial risk. If PIP have a look through B&W resources to see what additional evidence you can send in , the diary will help if you are well enough to fill it in.
Have faith, if you are ill enough to need a psychiatrist you will get through in the end.
Best wishes

Thank You so much for taking the time to send such a helpful & supportive message.
My application sent on to CAPITA is for DLA to PIP.
Capita wrote to my GP only. He has replied. I’m waiting to hear from my psychiatrist to see if he’ll write to say Face2face would put me at risk.
I suspect DWP didn’t forward all supportive evidence submitted to Capita.
Alarmed & afraid by it all.
Thanks for your support

Went for Face2Face despite my GP requesting possible Paper Based.
Assessed by a Physio. Appeared pleasant, kind & empathetic.
Realise what's said often isn't what's written. Will wait & see.
Glad it's over. Dread the outcome.
The assessor seemed to have all the supporting evidence I'd sent in.
I didn't query what was being entered on computer during assessment. Didn't realise I could.
How long should I wait before requesting a copy of Face2face assessment report please?
Thanks for all your advice & support
Take Care
Mickey
