There's no reason why older evidence and letter cannot be used providing the claimant can show that they are still relevant to their conditions and limitations when they are assessed, a letter from your GP confirming this should be sufficient and is more than many claimants are able to source.

nicola wrote: Hi thanks for reply. But i felt the support i needed ongoing at the clinic. As i still have the symptoms and they were getting worse. I forgot the plan they wrote out as it wasnt working. So i think im better of asking to be rereferred again. Ask the G.P as the CFS is the one to give support and letters. She said could ask in the future to be referred if its getting worse. I noticed people getting it reduced pipon here if they didnt have sufficient updates. Or does it vary each person. I will fillout how it affects me fully on the form. But i felt the last medical advisor was just going by the specialist lettee and ignored what i said thanks nicky.
I can't advise whether you should ask to be referred again, that has to be your decision.
PIP claims fail or are successful for a wide range of reasons, not having medical evidence is not always a major problem, a number of members have reported success with nothing more than a diagnosis letter, though as a general rule, the less evidence you have the more detailed your PIP2 will need to be.
