Hi. I got the dreaded form and just starting to fill in the application. I'm typing my answers because I struggle to write.
So I have physical disability and mental. I have Joint Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder that is thought to be EDS, but i haven't got a diagnosis of EDS yet. I am paying privately to see Dr Hakim but his is a 4 month waiting list. I now use a wheelchair most of the time because I am in a great deal of pain when I walk.
I am autistic, but I hide it incredibly well. Most people aren't aware. It does cause me some anxiety. Usually it's related to me using a wheelchair though. So, for example, I don't like travelling on the trains by myself unless there's someone to meet me from the platform at the other end in case I get stuck on the train.
I've heard a lot of people saying they don't really get points for anxiety or for social difficulties, especially when they can communicate so well. So should I instead focus on the purely physical?
Is it okay that i don't have any difficulties with some of the sections. Like money or reading. In fact I use reading as a distraction from my chronic pain.
