CB/IR ESA Backdating I'm Confused was created by lobsterpot
Hi,
I have been following the story of people who would be eligible for Backdating Payments of ESA Contribution Based.
My question is on my award letter for February 2013 it states that I have been put in the support group for CB ESA. it also states I "May" be eligible for Income Related ESA, would this mean I may be due a refund?
Thank you in advance.

Then if you can show that you met the Income Related ESA criteria you should receive back payment of any missed monies. ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See
Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)
24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)
The DWP should be contacing all eligible ESA claimants but there are 10,000s effected so it may be some time.
