PIP success was created by Pam
A massive thank you to the organisers of this forum for all their advice and guidance. After twelve months of living with anxiety and frustration, the tribunal has awarded me the enhanced mobility component, the award I previoulsy had under the DLA for many years. I can say with all certainty that if I had known about this forum before applying for the PIP, my application would have been successful right from the beginning and I would not have had the hassle of going through the long and painful appealing process. The forum has been invaulable in helping me articulate my difficulties in moving around in the best possible way. I found out about this forum accidentally through a colleague of mine and I really feel so sorry for people who do not get to know about this valuable forum when applying for PIP or cannot access it for whatever reason. The PIP allows me to continue having access to motability car, without motability car I would be absolutely housebound. I cannot thank the forum enough. Well done the forum organisers and good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their PIP result.

That's great news, well done for arguing your case.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result, I would give them a call to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

Thank you, Gordon. I have already received a letter from DWP acknowledging the tribunal decision notice and saying how much they are going to pay me. I think the letter took about 3 weeks to arrive.

I should add that in the end, there was not need for me to attend the tribunal, though I was all ready for it! I had a call from the tribunal clerk a couple of hours before the hearing time to let me know that the decision had been made to give me the enhanced mobility, indefinitely. The DWP letter says 'enhanced mobility, ongoing'. I guess its the same thing but different langauge. Am I right to think that?

We don't know how an On-Going award will play out but we are not expecting claimants with this award to be reassessed any earlier than ten years. We will have to wait until 2013 2023 when the first claimants have had their awards for that long to see.

Hiya Pam well done on the ongoing award btw.

Gordon, hope you well my friend:) just reading through and noticed you posted 2013 I had to laugh that would be a really long wait I'm sure my sense of humour is not needed :P and many realise it's 2023 we have to wait on to see what will happen with ongoing awards, I prey also they just leave us alone.

The only bit I'm confused Gordon in reading about with ongoing awards which I'm also on is what on Earth do they mean by Light touch at the 10 year point.
:(

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.
