If you receive your PIP award decision, and are not happy with it, you have 1 month to put in a mandatory reconsideration, for them to relook at the decision.

What if within that whole month you are away abroad, but you know that you want to send in a mandatory reconsideration within week 2 (of that 1 month)

1) then can you post the mandatory reconsideration form from abroad, to the DWP department?

2) it, they will receive it within time (within week 2), but just from a different posting country, posting to the UK.
does this matter? /is it acceptable?

3) if so, which circumstances would it be acceptable? or it should be acceptable aslong as it is within the 1 month (regardless of which country it is posted from).

__

4) and on the timescale, when they say say 4-6 weeks to get an initial decision on your F2F claim, then does this depend which postcode you are from,

/or depend on which town your assessment was done in, which determines how busy that particular area of 'PIP' forms to be assessed are?

5) or do all F2F Assessment reports, from all over the UK just go to one central DWP department, which get put on the back of the waiting list?

___

6) When the can can take 4-6 weeks, can it even be quicker for a decision?
ie, 3 weeks?

1-3 You can make a Late request for an MR, you need to explain why the request is late but your being out of the country should be accepted as Good Cause, you could post from another country but it begs the question as to how you would know about the Decision in the first place.

4. There are regional variations and we are currently seeing a slow down across all parts of the process due to the Summer holidays.

5. No, Decisions and files are held at local offices, it is just the postal addresses that are aggregated.

6. It can be both quicker and slower
