Asking for Copy of PIP Assessment Report was created by rjdeller
My wife just had the result of her DLA to PIP face to face and got no points. So I wrote asking for a copy of the report "so that I can consider applying for mandatory reconsideration". I got a text back saying "you have asked us to look again at your PIP decision. Expect to hear from us in 6 weeks". Does this mean that they have started a Mandatory Reconsideration? I haven't filled in any form or sent further details. I thought I would need to fill in a MR form as seen elsewhere on the web?

Yes, I'm afraid it sounds like they have started an MR.
You can contact them to say that you have not requested an MR or you can tell them that you need time to review the assessment report before you can submit further information for the MR.
Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process.
