Face 2 Face after new irreversible lung disease. was created by John Mac
Hello everyone, I got my review questionnaire just before Christmas, I filled it in and explained I was waiting for results of ct scans & x-rays etc as I was getting more and more breathless when walking short distance or using stairs , to cut the story short I was told 5 days before Christmas I have irreversible lung disease ( Chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis ) and I am at hospital every 2 weeks and GPs in between, Hospital trying me on various drugs to try and stabilize it, I have now developed diabetes which I am about to start getting treatment for the day before face2face, my head is done in worrying about my family, and this is on top of my other disabilities, Dystonia which makes me loose muscle control and have spasms and my speech is effected as it makes me grunt and not able to get words out when it comes on, sleep apnea, copd, problems walking as I have one replacement knee and other knee needs replacing but at the moment I have enough going on, my wife is my carer and I am over 65 yrs old I thought there was no way I would be put through this again. Basically I am asking if you think I could loose my claim as things have got worse not better, is this f2f only because I have these new conditions.
Thanks everyone and sorry post was so long. John.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The vast majority of claimants have to have a face to face even on reassessment although reporting a deterioration will have made it more likely that you will have one, I would not read anything negative into this, it is just the process.
You new limitations cannot be taken into account until you have suffered them for three months so this may delay any new award.
