Had an unexpected call just now from the DWP. We have asked for a tribunal to consider our son's PIP refusal. The call was to ask if we were submitting any further evidence so that the DWP could see it before the tribunal and possibly change their minds. Sounds lovely but the call was hectoring, argumentative and stressful. Basically bullying and stating how the reports would stand and the tribunal would not change their mind based on what I had told the DWP caller.
Has anyone else had this experience? What should I have done and what should I do next?
As to the appeal, you don't need to do anything additional, the DWP will be automatically sent a copy of any testimony and evidence that you submit by the Tribunal Service.
The TS is independent of the DWP and your Tribunal panel will make its Decision based on all of the evidence before them and your testimony on the day,
Gordon
