I'm sorry but I am not aware of any current petitions.

My partner had a F2F and the assessor seemed to be obcessed with the fact that we had purchased the wheelchair ourselves ( why would you buy a wheelchair if you did not need one ) and the comments about the wheelchair was copied and pasted into several sections of the report. We have the report but its not very favourable to him, so many untrue assumptions and lies, she also said he takes moderate painkillers, our GP said he is on the strongest medication that he can have. We will challenge the lies with IAS once we get the decision what ever it is.

I’m hoping to finish and send off the MR this weekend and would like some advise as to whether I should address what the HP had written
under justification for activity.
The HP has stated “reported difficulties are inconsistent with findings at assessment. She has no input or treatment for painful right shoulder and neck following surgery 9 years ago. She is on moderate pain relief but not the full frequency and she reports little benefit. The MSO shows slight power reduction in right arm and hand grip. She declined right shoulder movements due to pain levels but she has normal right elbow movement. She has normal movement and power in left arm. Right hand grip further demonstrated in the IO where it shows her able to grip a pen and sign her name with her right hand.
There are no reported cognitive, intelllectual sensory or mental health conditions and the MSE shows no cognitive impairment.
Her difficulties in the task are fully acknowledged, however, the evidence at assessment today indicates no significant physical restriction that would prevent her from completing this task.
The HP has put this reason on each activity I have a problem.
I have reiterated in the MR what my difficulties are and the pain I suffer trying to do them and what help I need and get.
And as you suggest in the guides to then put what the HP has said in the descriptor underneath for each one.
Can plan and cook a meal unaided
Can stand and then move more than 200 meters either aided or unaided
Sorry this is a long post but I really would like to get it across to them what my needs and difficulties are.
Thanks in advance for any more advice.

Hi Jan 1955
Sorry to hear that we have similar problems with the wheelchair issue.
I didn’t think it mattered where the aid came from but that the question was do you use need one.
I think the HP/DM are trying every trick in the book to try and undermine us and not award our claim. The trick is, I think, is to try and undermine what they are saying, Difficult I know and I hope with the help and advise on this site we can all succeed.
Best of luck to you and let us know how you get on.
