Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Longbow
This is outside the scope of the forum. Some areas operate 'companion passes' allowing someone to travel with someone who is disabled, but there are limitations to how far they cover. Have a look at what is available in your area. You should be able to find the information on your council website.

Hi Longbow
As Bis said, some areas allow carers whilst others don't. My area doesn't, but if I travel with my partner because he has the pass I can buy a cheap £2 day ticket on a Saturday & Sunday, which is better than nothing. Hope your area allows this.

I am in scotland too. Those on dla need to be receiving middle rate care to have a companion travel with them but for pip, the pass seems to be granted to those on standard or enhanced rate and allow a companion too.
I think the rule is consistant throughout Scotland as it is a 'national' entitlement card we have here.
For England, check your local council
