0 points to 27, won a few battles but not the war. was created by KRW
My journey to justice.
Initial PIP assessment: 0 Points
=======
After mandatory reconsideration: 19 Points
=======
Tribunal decisions: 27 Points
=======
This was a long and very stressful journey started by the PIP assessors 0 score. I am still not conversant to remit she may of been working under. The fact I arrived in a wheelchair, left in a wheelchair and was never asked to stand at anytime by the assessor, how could she still score me as being able to walk more than 200m?
Now after almost 2 years I am back to where I was before I was asked to attend my PIP assessment.
One of the tribunal recommendations was that for a claimant with such obvious chronic conditions that re-assessments should not be required. Well roughly three weeks after the tribunal decision the brown envelopes started to arrive on my door mat asking me to tell them all about my condition again.
Strangely they are now not so frightening, having won a few battles I'm acutely aware the war continues...
For others out there in their own wars, just take one battle at a time, try not to get bogged down and soldier on.

Hi KRW
Many congratulations on your tribunal win and thank you for sharing your experiences with us. It's good to hear when members have won their 'battles'.

It is worth you checking back with the DWP, if the reassessment letter was only three weeks after the Tribunal then it is likely that it was issued before the Tribunal Decision was processed by the DWP and if the panel recommended an On-Going award, which your post suggests, then this new assessment should be withdrawn.
However, unless it is withdrawn then you must complete and return the form or you risk the claim being closed, the PIP Helpline is saying that there are now automatic extensions for returning the form but I recommend your following the normal procedure for requesting one if your need it.
