Hi Sophie1985

You should receive a copy within a few days depending on the post, DWP usually say within 10 days.

I had my PIP review telephone assessment last Tuesday. I was told in no uncertain terms not to bother them about asking for a copy of my report until I had received my decision letter, which would take 8 weeks and by which time my benefit would have run out.

Hi Margo

Ignore what they told you, you can contact DWP within 48 hours of a PIP assessment and ask for a copy of the assessors report (PA4 v3). I have seen a few posts on the forum where it has taken longer than 48 hours as DWP have told claimants that they had not yet received the report but keep trying and don't let someone put you off.

How darn sneaky of them! Cynics would say they do not want their report questioned as it could get them into trouble, [if they are intending to write un/half-truths as so frequently 'seems' to happen], and once you have got the decision you might be too demoralised to fight!!!
If you phone and get a similar response, just wait a while and call again. Always note the time and date of call and name given even though it is only a first name. Should you be unhappy with the call, you can ask to speak to a manager, they will not usually put you on to one straight away but you will get one call you back in about 2 working days. So leave your notes by the phone if you do ask for this, to be ready whenever they call. All this from personal experience btw.
Best wishes, Denby

Hi Sophie

Just a suggestion that worked for me. After waiting a while after my first phone call I phoned again for my report but this time on the same day I also sent a letter to the same address asking in writing for my report. I ended up with 3 copies but I know it was the letter that got them moving haha as they referred to it in a note attached to my forms.
