I had my pip assessment last week, i called dwp to request a copy of the report, they said i have to wait until i receive a text message from them to say they have received the report and to phone back once i receive that text message, its been a week now and no text message Is this the normal procedure? why can't they take my request now and send it to me when they receive it?

Try ringing again. some of the telephone staff are not as helpful as others.

Hi Sophie1985,

I had the same problem, I called them to request report, they said it could take upto 2 weeks until they received it and should wait for the text. However the lady said that she would put a note on my file to say I had requested it and they should send it once they had received it. I received the text and waited for over a week for the report. I called them to see if it had been sent and it hadn't . I then got it approx 3 days later. So I would suggest wait for the text and then call them to request it as it appears notes on your file are not always read.

Good luck

I just rang them again, this time the lady said they still hadn't received it however she would leave a note on the system so that they will send it out once they do. Not sure why the first person i spoke to didn't do this, would have saved me 45 mins waiting on the phone and holding up other people waiting to get through, such a simple thing that would save people a lot of time that all adds up if multiple people are told to call back when a note can simply be left.

Hi Sophie

Keep on it. The reports are supposed to be uploaded onto the system within 48 hours, so if you don't receive it by the middle of next week, I would ring again. I know it's a pain, but you need that report.

Hi,

I just received a text message from DWP to say that they have received the report, this was after i phoned this morning for the second time to request a copy, If the person i spoke to this morning has done their job and left a note on the system they should be sending a copy to me now that they have received it.

How long does it usually take them to send a copy once they receive it?
