Assistance regarding possible forced switch to UC

Hi all, I hope there is someone who can assist with my concern / worries.

Here's my situation/issue in date/event order:
I was granted homelessness in Borough A and was in receipt of ESA (Support Group), Council Tax & Housing Benefit.
I was moved from temporary housing in Borough A to permanent housing in the same Borough (Borough A).
I informed the Borough/District Council of my new address.
I received a letter (CL-SUSPEND) stating my Housing Benefit had been suspended, together with a form which they asked me to complete with proof of my tenancy (letter said if I did not respond within one month my claim for Housing Benefit/Council Tax would be terminated/revised).
I completed the form and returned it with a copy of my tenancy agreement.

I received Letter 1 (CL-UNSUSPEND), dated 00/00/00 (date withheld on this forum for security reasons) stating that they had reviewed me and my payments for Council Tax and Housing Benefit had been resumed.

The same day, I received Letter 2 (PT-CESSATION), dated 00/00/00 (ie. the same date as the above 2 letters) stating that my Council Tax & my Housing Benefit have been stopped for my new address and I need to make a claim under UC. (However the weekly rent amount they referred to was for my previous temporary accommodation).

The same day, I received Letter 3 (TX-CESSATION), dated 00/00/00 (ie. the same date as above letter) stating that they had reviewed my application for Council Tax reduction and I could not get benefit since the date of my move to my permanent address.
The letter also stated that because of the change they had paid me too much and that they intended to remover it from me.

Getting all these letters on the same date, with them all having the same letter date is really confusing for anyone, let alone someone with mental health issues.

I am really confused and extremely worried.
(I thought I read somewhere that if you moved within the same Borough, then you would not be forced onto UC and could stay on the legacy benefits until forced migration ).

Please would someone advise me on my position and what to do.

Thank you in advance.

Hi parmaviolets

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I have come across your situation on a number of occasions, unfortunately your question is outside the remit of this forum. You may want to contact Shelter england.shelter.org.uk/get_help or see a welfare rights worker but due to Covid-19 seeing a WRW is easily said than done so I will give you a few pointers.

The first thing a WRW would ask you is what is the date on the letter? this is called the decision date, if there is no date as in your case then record the date you received the letter but also note the date on the letter (dated 00/00/00). I cannot see what the date has to do with security reasons.

If you receive ESA and in the support group, do you get PIP, if yes, do you receive a severe disability premium with your ESA claim?

You need to appeal the decision within one month of the decision letter date on a form called a GL24, it is quite a simple form. When you return it, make sure you return it by recorded delivery and take a copy of the form. The form is now only used for HB appeals.

I understand Parmaviolets to have received, on the same day, three contradictory letters which all bear the same date. But Pviolets has withheld that date [the one on each of the three letters] for reasons of security within this forum, i.e. within the benefits and work forum.
