Tips for letter from HPs for med evidence PIP form was created by Hil
My HPs are going to write a letter for med evidence to support my PIP claim. I want to send them GP Notes doc on this website. I am really anxious about this as they are v busy and may not have time to include some of the info....I know med evidence is crucial to support PIP claim. Does anyone have experience of doing this? Tips and advice v welcome.

Hi Hil
I have sent GP notes doc from this web site to a claimants GP and then sent the reply to in with the claim, I cannot tell you if this was a deciding factor as some GP replies are good and go into details whereas others are very brief.
All I would say on the GP notes is, if they support your claim then include them.

The last twice I have done my daughter's renewal, I have phoned the GPs, got put through to the Secretary, spoken very sweetly about the need for a letter and made it very clear I am happy to pay for this. This year it was £42 inc VAT, and very well worth the investment. Yours may or may not respond to this approach but at least you're paying for the time spent. Unfortunately hospital clinics don't have a system to be paid as far as I know. In my amateur opinion the best you can do is try to ensure they understand that their patient may suffer if they don't a] write at all and b] describe how the medical condition affects the Activities of Daily Living &/or Mobility. DWP very likely to place little value on purely medical letters that do not say what the effects are. So if the letters you get are like that, you will have to explain the relevance, possibly quoting other sources to back you if you can find them.
