Strange ESA letters received was created by LJ
So today my heart sinks as I see 3 brown envelopes through the door.
They all relate to ESA and 2 of them are in the format of the decision letter / update letter. They both say that they have looked at my claim again following a recent change. The first says that from 29th October I have been moved from the work related activity group to the support group and the second says that from 5th November I am in the support group. The third is a letter confirming my bank details as if I am a new claimant.
What is puzzling me is that I have been in receipt of ESA for about 8 years and have always been in the support group and I have not had any change in circumstances.
Had anyone else had this happen or can offer an idea of why this could be?

looloo
Unfortunately, ESA letters rarely make sense.
They may have carried out a Paper Based Review without contacting you, the only way to know is for you to contact the DWP office dealing with your ESA claim.

Thank you Gordon, it did cross my mind that they might have done that because my last review a couple of years ago was a paper based one and I sent about 80 pages of evidence at the time!
