I am affraid was created by Agis
My ESA assessment is normally due in December, I have very limited evidence due to how this pandemic affected me. Also the evidence I have I am not sure is strong enough or consistent. I claim for mental health and have been in support group for 3 years now on contribution based ESA. I also have PIP daily living enhanced. My last psychiatric report says that I trip and fall few times a month when anxious and that I have limited danger awareness, I am now worried that they will not take it seriously as it doesn't say weekly or that it's not strong enough. I am panicking and thinking of going to the hospital as the stress of waiting for December is just too great. One of my mates got benefits extended for one more year without any assesment. I am not that lucky. Is it reasonable for me to expect brown envelope to arrive in December just as the lockdown ends? I just feel sick. I think I should be in the hospital and I'm running around trying to get any evidence. Thanks for reading this and support.

Hi Agis
You say that your ESA assessment is 'normally due in December. However, as you are aware there is nothing 'normal' about the times we are living through. The fact is there is now idea of telling when you will be reviewed. You could ring and see if you could get an update. You may find it difficult to contact the DWP, but that might be better than making yourself ill over the wait. Or you could try and put it to one side.
Many people have not been seeing medical professionals or are unable to get new letters from GPs or other medical professionals. You just have to work with what you have and try not to worry. There's a perfectly valid reason for not having anything new.
I can't tell you if you have strong enough evidence - no one ever knows that. You just do your best.
So when is your brown envelope going to drop through your door? I'm afraid, it's impossible to tell.
