Higher level PIP was created by Fiona143
Hi I was awarded the standard rate PIP when i was still technically employed but since then I have been medically retired from my employer. I was receiving ESA contribution based but that stopped after 365 days I am receiving nothing from DWP now.
Can I contact PIP and tell them that my employment ended because of my worsening condition? I was medically retired back in February and have doctors letter to say my condition has worsened.
Any advice ? I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi Fifi

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I take it from your post that when you was in receipt of CB ESA you were placed in the WRAG.

You can claim PIP whist working, if you inform DWP that your condition has worsen, this is what is called a change of circumstances.

If you report a Change of Circumstances you will be sent a PIP2 to complete this is the same form as you received when you originally made your claim for PIP.

You need to complete the form as if it is a new claim based on your conditions and limitations as they are now, include as much evidence as you can even if it was submitted with your previous form or with the appeal.

We have a comprehensive guide to filling out the PIP form. It walks you through the entire process and will tell you the types of things you should be writing for each of the questions. The size of the guide is daunting, but it will make the process of filling out the form a lot easier. You can find it from the link below. There have been some changes to the PIP criteria since you were last assessed so please make use of the latest version of our PIP Claim guide
