Hi, we are thinking of stopping our landline to save money and just use the mobile phone, now my husband has recently received a ten year pip [also esa was about two years ago] I think the phone number for the landline was used on pip/esa paperwork, would contacting esa or pip to say landline is no longer used trigger an assessment of either?, or keep the landline to stop any re assessments? or not tell them landline is no longer active? Thank you.
Telling the DWP that a landline no longer being available will not trigger a reassessment. I would think in the current circumstances a lot of people would make a similar decision. Just ring and tell the DWP and then follow it up with a letter. (Keep a copy of the letter).
