Just had phone call assessment was created by Mockingbird61
Hi,
I just had my assessment and feel it did not go to well. I felt he kept worming his way around to getting the answers he wanted by putting it in different ways. At the end the sound was awful all crackly and I could not understand what he was saying. I was so nervous. Has anyone else felt it went badly. I was so upset afterwards it’s as if your not a person just a list of questions

Hi Linda
I assume from your previous post that it was a PIP assessment you have just had.
You need to wait a couple of days then contact DWP for a copy of the assessors report (PA4), don't let any one tell you that you have to wait for a decision before they can issue a copy of the report as this is not true, that only applies to ESA claimants.
If you are unhappy with the assessors report due to inaccuracies, then there is a small window for you to write to the Decision Maker but you will need to be quick.
Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.
Also, try and stick to issues that lead to your scoring points, I often hear members referring to the assessors spelling, as an example, whilst it may show a lack of professionalism, raising it as an issue isn't going to help you get an award.
Make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against you can put the best case forward that is possible but you won't score points if you do not meet the PIP Descriptors.
Lastly, make sure that your letter makes it clear that you are not requesting a Mandatory Reconsideration but you reserve the right to do so once a Decision has been made.
If you have any further questions then please come back to the forum.

Hi Linda.
Do be sure to contact the DWP and get the assessors report. You aren't the only person to feel your assessor was trying to steer the answers to fit their criteria. Good luck.

Hi,
Thank you I thought I had it all under control but I fell to pieces. I didn’t have time to think it was quick fire and my anxiety got the better of me I’m afraid
