Sorry if this a repeat as the forum timed out when posting this earlier.
I had a PIP review recently which resulted in gaining enhanced rate for mobility, and standard for daily living. It was also a long award (10ys) obviously due to the medical reports i sent in for the above. (DWP review)
Today though i received a 4 page letter concerning my ESA which is Contribution based and SG.. The letter heading is Your claim for ESA, followed by changes in the ESA rates payable. It goes on to show the breakdown of the slight annual increase and then says We have looked at your claim again following a recent change.
Does this mean they have also done a review of my ESA, possibly due to the new info in medical reports sent in for PIP? I thought they were totally separate. It does appear both were reviewed by the DWP, not any outside body.
Further on it goes on to say if i am unhappy with the decision i can start a MR. My ESA was not due for review until next year (I think it's 3 yearly at best before each one, )
I nice weight off my mind if it has been a paper based review due to the new information
By the sounds of it you have received you have received a notification letter from DWP of a benefit increase, they usually come out this time of year, I believe it is about 0.5% which equates to £0.37 a week if you get basic ESA and you are over 25 years of age.
They have not done a paper review of your ESA.
