I was awarded an award of 3 years from the 17/01/2018 -16/01/2021 I had 2 appeals after a mandatory reconsideration I won 0n the 26/07/2018 my award has not been reviewed I have been forced to reclaim I was not informed of the changes in my benefit has left me £740 per month less I called and they said my claim was different and I was not entitled to an extension of 1 year I believe this to be discrimination against a disabled person as I believe I am also entitled to and extension of a year ANY ADVICE PLEASE
You are not alone, we have heard from many members on this forum in the same situation as yourself. We have advised them to complain to their MP's.
Unfortunately some MP's are more pro-active than others, I would copy in Thérèse Coffey Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) in any correspondence to your local MP
We have not yet had any replies on the forum as to how they have got on, so we are no wiser, as to the extension, the the answer is no, it was raised in Parliament and the reply was those who get an award from Tribunals will not get an extension as the award is a set date, but I know of claimants who went to a tribunal and have had their award extended, so we are receiving mixed messages.
