I have received a copy of assessment report and the decision.
I have been on forum twice and I now have the report with more details.
It seems the assessor and Decision Maker are saying I am on low dose pain killers
ie Co Dydramol which is partly why my Mobilty award has gone from 12 to 4 points after review
but I take Naproxen 250mg twice a day which is an anti inflammatory and pain relief, and the codydramol is to be taken as required as a support,
Also I have to catheterise 4 to 5 times a week due to a urinary stricture, and I have to wear incontinence Pants due to Stricture and other factors Which have left me with urge Incontinence. I told the assessor I have about 4 accidents a week which is the case.
The report says I do catheterize and have accidents but NOT the majority of the week.
I was awarded 2 points for needing an aid to go to the toilet but here they are talking about the walking stick. I was going to possibly ask for a Reconsideration concerning the Mobility issue
but is there any point in asking for the Care also, is the Incontinence Issue worth any more points considering I live on my own, and I have to clean myself up there is no one to assist me.
Last of all Yesterday I was so ill, breathing terribly and exhausted. I stayed in bed with fluids nearby but was too ill to get downstairs to get food, this happens quite a lot and was mentioned to assessor, but I still did not score points in Taking nutrition.
Is there any grounds for more care points with what I have said or is Mobility the issue which was my original intention a few days ago, Remember they gave me Standard Care as last time
and this time but Mobility 12 points last time this time 4,
MARK

Hi Mark,
I am pleased that you have got your assessment report, it is so important in deciding what to do next. I can also emphasise with your frustration at what you are seeing in it.
I have just had a peep back at your previous posts. LL26 give you some really good advice here.
Technically you don’t ask for reconsideration of part of the award, i.e. care or mobility, but of the combined award. This means there is always the potential for the care component to be adversely affected, although as LL26 said this is unlikely since they have only just given it to you. (It would be remiss of us not to point that out.)
What you can do, and should do, is when you request your MR you tell them which Activities you believe they have scored you incorrectly on and why you think you should have been scored. And most important WHY you think so, giving examples.
Some are easier than others. If you have a repeat prescription print out with Naproxen on it, then this is simple clear evidence that they got it wrong.
With incontinence you need to keep a record for a week, or longer if time permits, recording when you had accidents, this probably being the only evidence which can be produced for such a thing.
PIP is about the help you need, not about the help you get. If your mobility is such that it is unreasonably painful for you to clean up etc then this should be brought out.
We don’t give individual advice here and I really would not like to make a recommendation about what you should have been awarded.
Asking for a MR is not a big legal task, but it is time consuming and hard for anyone to do for themselves. As you can see there are lots of points to consider. If you have not gone through our guides then I suggest you do so, there are lots of pointers there (PIP resources). But I agree with LL26 if you can, please find someone who can help you with this. Someone who can give some of their time and energy too.
This can be a helpful link in locating someone.
