Mandatory Reconsideration (PIP) was created by Bela
Do I need to address all the points that the telephone Assessor had said about me?
They were inaccurate and misleading. This process of writing everything again is so frustrating and time consuming especially with Covid 19 and Lockdown.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hello Bela and welcome to Forums.
If you are new to the site you might wish to have a look here
Welcome to Benefits and Work
There are few guides about PIP Appeals and MR here PIP resources which are really good. You will need to scroll down a bit to get to them.
It is up to you how much you put in your letter, but they will only consider what you put. So if I am doing an MR I go through each activity in turn, say if I agree or disagree with the points awarded, and why. If I disagree I also say what I think should have been awarded, why and where possible reference evidence.
You only need to address the points which make a difference regarding how many PIP points you were awarded. Beyond that it is up to you how much you include. I appreciate that it is frustrating and time consuming but fighting the PIP system can be just that.
Please do come back to us if you have any more questions

Hi Catherine I am also in the process of my MC I’m waiting for my assessment notes to see where it went wrong - I n my case it’s as if HP didn’t listen nor remember what I said.
To Bela - don’t give up I’m also blown over by the amount of information - repetitive mind anxiety - don’t over-face yourself with lots to do - take it bit by bit - I find this is helpful - good luck -

Hi Bela, regrettably there is too much evidence of assessment staff writing as you politely say "inaccurate and misleading" things, for it to all be down to chance. If it is not chance it is reasonable to think it is deliberate. An obvious motive would be for DWP to put people off contesting bad reports and low/no awards. It certainly is frustrating, and tiring too, and I can't personally believe they are unaware of this either. So please don't fall for their nasty tactics, fight on with all the great backing you get on here.
Looking forward to updates on how it goes, Denby
