Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Sharon Carroll.

PIP is not a means tested benefit - it can be paid to those who still work despite having disability, or those unable to work through ill health or disability. PIP reflects how well you can perform are number of set activities including preparing food, dressing, washing and bathing etc as well as mobility activities.Points are awarded according to your level of disability for each activity. Please have a look at the information in the members guides, if not done already. www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip
If you are struggling to work, then you may be eligible to ask your employer for 'reasonable adjustment' - this could mean lesser hours, or the provision of equipment to assist you - this could be office equipment including chairs, computers, or even a ramp to enable easier access to the building. Other 'reasonable adjustments' could include moving your workspace to nearer the door, or elsewhere according to your needs. If this is relevant to you, have a word with your manager or HR Department.
If you feel that work is generally becoming too much, you could seek alternative employment - again this might be possible within your existing workplace, or maybe elsewhere. IOtherwise, if you feel that you can no longer work, then you could consider applying for Universal Credit. Again further information can be found here:
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc
If you need further information about work/benefits, and can not find the answers on our website, you may wish to speak to an advisor eg at CAB. Details of local advice centres can be found here:

I hope the above helps. Good luck.
