Filling in new ESA50 form was created by Quietplease
I have just downloaded an updated ESA50 from gov.co.uk. The advice on the DWP website says only fill in the form if asked to do so and that it can save on Adobe but not elsewhere, like Foxit.
I want to fill the form in advance but Adobe is saying the document is policy-protected and the Adobe app doesn't therefore support fill and sign. Meanwhile a quick test on Foxit suggests it might actually be doable on this app after all.
Can anyone clarify what is going on here and suggest the best way to fill in the ESA50 in advance? Thank you

Hello Kevin,
If you follow this link it will take you to a pdf form which you can download and complete.
assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governm...rk-questionnaire.pdf
I noticed that they have updated the form today, so it could be that they were having some technical glitches when you went to it.
You will probably need to have Adobe acrobat downloaded, which is free. HTTPS//get.Adobe.com
Once you have opened the form, you will be able to type in the boxes. (I use chrome or edge to open it; I have experienced problems with Firefox). I always complete just one or two boxes and then save to make sure that it is doing what I want. If you don’t have an icon to save you can use the shortcut ctrl S.
You will not be able to send the form in before you are asked for it, but it is a great idea to get started.
Catherine.

Thanks Catherine. I've tried to download the new ESA50 again but Adobe is still flagging it as a restricted document/policy-protected and it will not permit any editing. Foxit pdf reader has no such problems and I am working on transferring the information from the old ESA50 using Foxit. I just like to have the form more or less complete in readiness for any future assessment.
