Requesting evidence and mandatory reconsideration was created by kippus
I have had PIP cancelled, despite hearing voices which become more intense around people making it difficult and often unbearable to socialise, they changed my point score for "mixing with other people" to 2.
I am going to request a mandatory reconsideration and counter the reasons they gave in the decision letter. Should I also request a copy of the medical assessment report and dispute that? I get the impression they have lied and twisted things, based on what the decision letter says. And simply didnt bring up many of the things I did tell the assessor.

Hi kippus
I answered you other post but was not aware which benefit you were talking about.
If you are going to put in for an MR you need to do it within one month of the decision. You should also ring and ask for the assessment report (PA4) which will give you more details on how you were scored.

Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;
"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"
than their opinions
"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.
When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.
