Pension Notification was created by Inspector
Hi,
I did post something earlier but I think I was logged out for taking too long, anyway.
I'm 68 and recieving PIP only, plus my old age and work pension.
Had my annual notification that my work pension is going up by a couple of pounds and wondered do I have to inform DWP.
I used to have to do it, but I think that was because I was on ESA support untill I reached 65.
I read that some people had recieved a demand for a repayment because of not informing them.
Regards
Lewis

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Inspector Lewis
If the only benefits you are receiving are PIP, SP and Occ pension then the answer is no you do not have to inform DWP. If you are in receipt of a means tested benefit such as council tax reduction scheme or housing benefit then the answer will be yes you will need to inform your local authority.
If you receive the daily living component of PIP and live on your own then you may be eligible to claim Pension Credits: www.gov.uk/pension-credit. Contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation for more information. You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk

Thanks Gary, I'm only on PIP, SP and Occ Pension so that will be why I have not been asked to inform them. It's only £2 a week increase anyway.
