Text messaged tI have a WCA next Wednesday? was created by bigedd
Having failed a telephone assessment for pip, mandatory reconsideration resulted in a 3 year award at the higher rate for both care and mobility, be warned...this was a ‘review’ ,yet they sought evidence from a G.P.!
Now suddenly WCA due on the phone next Wednesday (I am writing this for the man concerned as he doesn’t communicate well), surely they can not do this, in light of the pip award given just 3 months ago....please help. Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jane
Can someone ask why he is being a given one - three months later? This is ridiculous. It could be an error - but they could just be being awful. They can choose to review any person's case at any time. I would argue he's being discriminated against, because his condition is unlikely to have improved in three months.
If that letter did not arrive to give him seven days notice of the appointment, someone should cancel it for him (if he can't do it himself) and ask for another.

Hi Jane
I assume that WCA is for either UC or ESA, unfortunately different DWP departments at this moment in time do not do joined up working, The DWP originally announced plans for an integrated assessment system for PIP and the work capability assessment (WCA)
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/4345-inte...ent-trials-to-resume but at tis moment in time the assessment is not integrated.
