PIP 0 on renewal further information not received? was created by Thea
I completed my PIP renewal in great detail with extra information early 2021.
Today got letter denying all PIP because I hadn't supplied the additional information they requested.
They never asked me for any additional information, this is the first I've heard from them since I uploaded my online form (I cannot write for long periodsso asked for online application so I or anyonecould type for me). I'm in Northern Ireland. Letter came from PIP.
I am going to write back & tell them I didn’t receive any request for further information but is that going to do anything.
My original change from DLA to PIP took going to a tribunal to get basic care & mobility for 3 years in 2018 even after using your guides. I have M.E, depression and anxiety, Osteoarthritis & vertigo.
Also my husband is seriously mentally ill & barely got basic care out of them. He got one of those letters a year or 2 ago saying it was reviewed after court thing came up but still wasn't due anymore than basic care. He couldn't face a tribunal & having been through one I couldn't face another I was crying & shaking by the end of it.

Hello Anthea22,
I am so sorry to hear about your situation.
You are right you need to write back to them saying that you did not receive their request and please will they tell you now what additional information they need.
As soon as you get the list of what they want you need to send it to them, together with a statement that you did not receive the original request and you now request for a Mandatory Reconsideration, (this is basically a formal request for them to look at it again). Ideally you will also include a statement saying why you think their original decision is wrong, but I appreciate that this may be a big call for you at the moment.
There is lots of information about MR’s and Appeal in our guides, so if you have the time and energy please do look. However don’t let the advise overwhelm you and stop you from doing anything!

Hope this helps, and please do come back to us if you have any questions
