Hi, I asked previously about getting my assessment recorded an I cancelled my original telephone appointment to ask for one that would be recorded.
After stressing about this over the weekend as I did not know how long I would have to wait, I called and said I did not mind a normal telephone assessment. To my surprise I got a one earlier than my original assessment.
I had the assessment on Friday and the lady was really nice an actually had a background in my condition.
I did not feel pressurised and even though it was an hour an a half later than it should have been, I got 2 calls from the staff explaining that it would be delayed the first saying it would be 45 mins late and then another apologising it might be another 45 mins.
After I had finished the assessment I asked how long it might be before I heard.
She said she sends what she had to do and other people then look it over and decide but said it could be another 6 to 8 weeks.
I wondered if it would be a good thing asking to see her note she took down, has any one asked to see theirs?
Does it give you an indication about how it went??

Hi MrH2020

Any time after 48 hours after your assessment has taken place you can ring the DWP and ask for a copy of your assessment report (PA4). This report will give you an idea of what you might be awarded should the decision-maker agree with the assessor.

Hi
Just because they sound nice doesn't in my experience mean anything. I recorded my last assessment myself, the assessment lasted 29min, but they put 90mins. If yours was 90 min, then maybe you did have a good one.
Good Luck

Hi MrH2020,

Yes, that is exactly what you do. I would have a go today and then keep going until you get it.

I have received a text message tonight stating that DWP have received a written report of the PIP Assessment and they will write to me once a decision has been made. It states that I should receive word within 8 weeks once they have made a decision, so I am defiantly calling them tomorrow morning asking for a copy.
I noticed on another thread someone was told was it 10 to 14 days they would get the written report well mine was only done lunchtime Friday and they have it already.
I can only hope that means things are okay as at the moment its all been good news, which I'm glad as having to give up work after all these years and admitting I could not do it anymore was a hard choice and it affected me mentally as well.
