PIP needs have change was created by Elizabeth
Please can you advise me if the form I have requested is only to note the new changes in my health or if I can recap the whole picture. In July 2018 I was awarded standard rate living needs due to having to live with secondary breast cancer in the bones, I was not happy with this as my mobility was affected but this was not taken into consideration and I did.
not feel well enough to challenge this decision. Sadly the cancer has reoccurred in March 2020 and I don’t know if I’m only allowed to informed them of my new additional problems or if I can recap on the whole situation. I probably did not give myself the best chances of getting higher points as I’m not great at completing forms, maybe you could also direct to somebody who maybe able to help. Your guides are fantastic but my concentration is not at its best
Many thanks

Hello Elizabeth,

I am sorry to hear about the reoccurance of your cancer.

We always suggest that people put more than either ‘no change’ or just detailing the changes. It is best to write something like ‘My ability to prepare food for myself has not changed. I still have need someone to assist me since the pain in my body means that I don’t have the grip to prepare food’. (Ideally listing all the things which are the same as before.)

Unfortunately, we are not able to help with an individual forms, however you might find an advisor using this site.
This can be a helpful link in locating someone.

I have also seen some impressive submissions prepared using our guides and a claimant’s friend. The guides are written so that you do not need to be a technical expert, but I do think however much you love forms it is very hard to do one of these for yourself. So if you have a literate friend or relative who you can trust with all the intimate information which goes on the form, I suggest you rope them in to help you.

Hope this helps
Catherine
