After several years of trying to persuade my elderly disabled mother to apply for AA, she eventually applied. The forms were posted back but in the meantime unfortunately my mother passed away. I informed the DWP of her death and sent a copy of the death certificate to them as requested by them.If my mother had met the criteria would the DWP still authorise any monies she would have been entitled to to be paid?
Hi Craig41 I am sorry to hear that your mother has passed away. My understanding is yes, if your mum met the criteria she should be eligible for a payment from the start of her claim until the day she died. I hope this helps. Let us know if you are successful! LL26
