Hi all, first time posting so hope I’m doing this right!
I’ve received a letter from PIP today saying my award will end on the 4th July as they did not receive my renew form back in time?
I honestly don’t know what to do. I filled in my renew form within a few days of receiving it, and sent it back to them with copies of evidence on the 16th of June. My form had to be received back to them by the 26th June. What can I do now? please help
Did you send off your form with any type of 'proof of postage'? If you didn't and you have no proof that you sent the papers this is going to be difficult to challenge - particularly as your PIP has now stopped.
If you have the proof, you can ring up and ask for a call back from a case manager to explain their decision to end your claim.
If you don't have any proof, you can still ring and ask for a call back from a case manager and try and plead your case. I hope that you saved copies of everything (including the review form) so you could send it in again.
I'm afraid they do have the right to refuse and you may find yourself in the position of starting a new claim.
You could always appeal to your local MP and see if they could ring and help. Some MPs are great and have had some success in getting the DWP to change their mind in some situations.
