Hello Christopher,
It is beyond the scope of this forum to give detailed advice as to exactly what you might get, but be reassured that if the only income coming into the household is PIP you will be entitled to some UC, which will include help with paying the rent and council tax.
On this page you will find links to benefit calculators which will start to put some figures into that picture, and they are generally, if you can answer all their initial questions, they are pretty accurate.
www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
You can apply for UC online. Once you have started the process you will be given a work coach. Although they are frequently maligned, for people who are unable to work due to a health condition they can become your best friend in this journey, so do communicate with them! You will also be given a journal which the DWP will use to send messages to you and you can use to ask questions.
www.gov.uk/apply-universal-credit
You will need to provide a ‘fit note’ so show that you are not able to work, and after a while you will be invited to complete a Capability for Work assessment form. This is a little like the PIP form, but instead of questions about how your condition affects your daily living they are questions about how your condition affects your ability to work. We have a guide to help with that.
UC & ESA resources
I hope that helps, and I wish you happiness in the next phase of your life. Oh, and please do come back to us if you have any questions.

Hi Christopher
You do need to seek help from a Welfare Rights Organisation who can take all your circumstances into consideration, you say you are having to stop work due to your ill health, one of the questions your Welfare Rights Adviser (WRA) will ask is do you work full time, how long have you worked, they will be looking to see if you are eligible to claim NS ESA, does your partner work?
As Catherine has stated below your question is outside the remit of the forum, we cannot give individual advice as we do not know all the circumstances whereas if you go to a WRA they will ask all the relevant questions to your individual needs.
You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
