Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your limeline which will be a comfort to many members.

Absolutely delighted to hear that you have been awarded your enhanced PIP award. Great news, well done and congratulations. I am tagging my reply so that the back office also get to read your encouraging post.

Hi bonniedog,

Thanks for sharing your story. Most importantly, a great big well done for the getting the result you were hoping for!

It does relate to me as, like yourself, I got the text last week quoting the waiting time of eight weeks for a decision. I'm currently waiting for the assessment report.

I suppose it depends on several factors on how long you have to wait including what area you live in.

It seems I might not have to neccessarily wait eight weeks for the decision going by your post.

Regards,

Phrank.

not a problem i genuinely could not have got through the last 4 or 5 years without the support and assistance from this wonderful resource ,so credit where credit is due and im happy to remain a life long member here regardless if i have a issue pending or not ,its invaluable to me to know there is always someone here i can count on in these frankly cruel and uncaring times ,
worth every penny of the membership thank you for being there

on a side note could you tell me as my renewed award is for roughly 2 and a half years ,my original one was for 4 years
it will take me just past retirement age of 66 ,how will this progress going forward from then on ,

i scored 16 for day today living component same as last award
and 22 for mobility this time ,14 scored on my original award , which seems to recognise that my condition is deteriorating as i get older

,does this suggest a light touch review strategy or something else going forward and would i lose or keep my entitlement to the mobility component at retirement age

thanks again for any light you can shine on to this and thank you for all you do for us

cheers

Hi Bonniedog

You should be subject to a light touch review next time around. Because you have already been award enhanced mobility - it will continue after retirement age.
