I just wanted to update you on the complaint I made regarding my horrendous telephone assessment. I have now spoken with two really lovely people from that team who have been very reassuring in letting me know the complaints received are taken very seriously. As they stated if people don't complain, they are not aware and cannot act on this. They do see our paper assessments too and in my case you can clearly see the information the assessor was given re my statement is not mentioned on many descriptors which has clearly impacted on my claim. I am now in the process of the MR using the brilliant advice given here. I just wanted to encourage anyone who has been upset with the handling of their assessment to make that complaint.
Thanks for your post. Good for you for complaining. It isn't always easy to do so, but as you were told nothing can be done if people don't. Hope you have a positive outcome.
