PIP Review Forms - missing paperwork was created by ardt999
I'm just enquiring to see if anyone else is having issues with PIP Review forms NOT being received by DWP?

I got my 1st Review form towards end of July, and returned it on 5th August - well before the deadline of the 17th August. I made contact with DWP (which can take up to 1 hour) who advised me that they were having major issues with the incoming mail severely backlogged?? They extended my deadline date by a further 60 days.

I contacted DWP yet again, still concerned that I hadn't heard anything from them. After being on hold for around 45 minutes I spoke to a member of staff who arranged to send out ANOTHER PIP Review form, just in case my original form had in fact been lost!! This duly arrived 1 week later, with another deadline date of 17th September. Asked to return this as a "DUPLICATE" - which I did on 2nd September.

I was also asked to call back DWP in 3 weeks (ie 21st September) if I hadn't heard anything from them - GUESS WHAT?? As of today, 15th September, I haven't heard a thing.

Does this mean that they've lost both the ORIGINAL and the DUPLICATE PIP Review forms - what am I supposed to do now??

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi ardt999

We have had a number of members posting about missing PIP and PIP renewal forms.

The first question I would ask you is, did you send your forms off by recorded delivery? if you did, then you can check to see when they were delivered and who signed for them.

We have heard on the forum that DWP have been having problems with their post.

if sent by recorded delivery then I would contact DWP to see where are your claims are in the process and let the know that it has been received. Whenever I make these calls I usually give the person I am speaking to the recorded delivery number.

It would not surprise me if both claims were lost in post, if you sent it by recorded delivery then at least you have proof it was posted.

Hi ardt999, It is worth trying to ring the pip helpline as near to 9 am when they open as possible as they answer much more quickly then. I tried this the last couple times I have rung and not waited longer than 15 minutes. I know it is not always possible to ring then but hope that helps.

All good wishes that you get this sorted out

Thanks for the helpful comments I received. After calling DWP yesterday it was confirmed that they had finally received my original review form on 1st September - after me posting it on 5th August. Now I have the wait until I hear back from them.
