New ADP Claim was created by Dee Emm
Hi, I recently applied for ADP for the first time. I submitted part 2 of the application online on 25th April. I have no experience of PIP or anything, this is my first time applying for any type of benefit. Just wondering if there's anyone in the same boat? If so, how long did you need to wait for a response? I uploaded my GP records with my application in the hopes of speeding up the process.
Is it common to get a telephone assessment?
I understand each case is different but any insight would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi
So assuming 5 working days per week 95 days will be 19 weeks in elapsed time so median processing time is almost 5 months

Suggestion is that part of delay and bottlenecks for getting decision is being caused by delay in Social Security Scotland (SSS) getting supporting medical evidence to make decision. Not hearing of many clients having to have an assessment.
So we try and get as much supporting evidence to submit with claim when helping clients. However if you need help getting supporting evidence you can ask SSS for assistance but this may cause a delay.
