Hi,

If you are in the ESA support group and only getting NI credts (no actual money payments):-

1) can you claim carer's allowance for someone else?

2) how many hours can you work - is it still under 16 hours?

Your questions seem quite straight forward but without background information we cannot give you a definitive answer. I would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk .

The rules are different for legacy benefits and UC; www.gov.uk/carers-allowance
