Would a nebuliser used at home be classed as therapy?? was created by MrH2020
Hi, I went to see my consultant for my illness, I have Bronchiectasis which is steadily getting worse, I do see my consultant every 6 months and I've also been on IV antibiotics at home twice in the last 4 months.
I asked my consultant if I could try Hypertonic Saline (7% saline) in my nebuliser as I read on one of my Facebook groups it has worked for some people if they can stand the salty taste.
I had to have a hospital appointment so they could see I could use it okay and not have an adverse reaction, I was okay with this and now am going to be using it twice a day at home in my nebuliser which the hospital also supplied.
I am going to have this on repeat prescription so I always have some, so my question is would this be classed as therapy and how would I go about explaining this.
My PIP award is supposed to run out next June so I am trying to get all information now as I have read forms can be sent out up to year in advance.
Thank you.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm sorry but it will be classed as a medicine.

Thank you at least I know not to go down that route, so looks like I will have my CPAP Machine.
I don't suppose an Aerobika would count would it??
It Says Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure Therapy System??
If it did how would I describe that?
