I also have a social worker who potentially could be present during the call but as I will record it myself and it’s a phone call does anyone know if it would be necessary. It would be quite a job to organise and if Im recording it anyway perhaps, if fingers crossed its not but, if necessary id be better to save it for a potential appeal or tribunal.

Hi Chocolady

We can't tell you what to do here. It's up to you to decide whether you want your social worker present. Some people would choose to have a social worker - not just as a witness to what is said, but because they can give support and support anything you say. Recording the assessment is a wise move regardless of whether the social worker is present.
