Hi- I'm just writing to ask if this is at all unusual. I had my medical assessment last thursday, the 5th of October. I called the PIP helpline today (October 10th) to ask for a copy of my assessor's report but the operator said that it had not been received yet. I'm pretty anxious about this- is this uncommon? I thought it was generally available to request within 48 hours of the appointment? Has anyone else had this experience? Should I be worried? Best, Bri
Me personally, I've always requested my reports a few days after, and never had any trouble. I think if I was in your shoes, as time-taking as it is, ring back daily and keep asking them until they tell you it's ready.
I couldn't imagine why an HCP wouldn't submit a report, unless something has happened to them in the middle of writing it, and it's interfered with it before it's been submitted.
One of the more experienced mods may be able to clarify better, or like you mentioned, other claimants who may have experienced similar.
Hope this helps,
Regards, Chris.
