ESA/PIP and compensation was created by Clarisse
I’m currently in receipt of ESA CB (March ‘23) and PIP (August ‘23) due to longstanding health conditions.
In September of this year I was in a car accident and sustained injuries. If I receive compensation will the amount be reduced by the amount of ESA and PIP I have received even though these injuries are subsequent and separate to my claims and awards?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Clarissa
Your question is outside the remit of the forum, I am not sure who to refer you to. I would start with the insurer and ask the question. Personally I cannot see why as you were already in receipt of the benefits before the accident, therefore the accident has not caused your long standing health condition, although it may have exasperated your condition.

love 'exasperated' but believe you may have meant 'exacerbated,' no need to post this unless you want to.
