Uc Migration mistake? was created by NeRd666
I recently received my uc migration notice. I am IRESA +HB+ Pip. The migration letter says I must make a joint claim for UC with my partner. Im single and no longer have a partner and live by myself. Can I still make a claim as a single person for UC ? I also get a SDP with my IRESA will I get transitional protection? Thanks

Hi NeRd666,
I would phone ESA and ask them to check on your relationship status in the DWP IT called CIS Searchlight which is the hub these days for all DWP Benefits. If there is an error there and you are registered as having a partner it will affect all the DWP automated systems.

Just to add it is important if you phone ESA that the phone agent does not just look at their ESA IT system which is called Opstrat. As Opstrat is not aligned to the UC Build. So they must check CIS Searchlight. Good Luck!
